Vastu Doors and Windows Tips

The door and the window are the most important thing of a house. We need to make them very strong. We also have a trend to make them very fashionable. They provide safety in the house. One should remember some important facts when designing the doors and windows. A house contains several doors and windows. The main door of the house should be unique in style than others. Doors and windows gratify our life. If you set up a window in a wrong direction it would let adverse situation in the house and vice-versa. People should concern about the direction and placement of a window or a door. But it’s a fact that today’s people most of the time think about the designing of the doors and windows. As per Vastu, we should follow some tips and guidelines while set up the door and the window at the houses.

The door must be around 7 to 8 feet in height and around 4 feet in width. Entrance door must be greater and good looking than others. Window’s level must be equal to the door. Windows must not be less than the number of doors. It is a fact that air comes from South is more than the any other side. But we should keep away from building a window in the south. The toilet door should have a distance and it should not be at the same line of any window or door.

As it is not auspicious to have square shaped windows or even the doors, we should make it rectangular shape. The door should close by hand. If we close it automatically, it may harm the children. The height and width of door should be in the ration of 2:1.

Every crack door should be replaced by new one. Repair the doors which make noise while moving. We must avoid one door over another door in a multi-storeyed building.

The entrance should be towards East for an east facing house, so that the main door of the house falls in the North side. It is very auspicious and gives a good result.

When the house will be at the South direction, the main door must be placed towards the West. And for this rule the door will be at the North direction.

In a north facing house, the main door should be towards North. It falls in the East.

But the entrance of the South facing house should be towards North. The door falls in the East.

In case of two rooms in the same floor, we should aware about the fact that the main door does not open towards each-other.
